The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, Chris Bowen today announced that employers throughout the State of Western Australia, including the Perth metro area. What this means is that employers in the metropolitan area will be able to sponsor in occupations that were previously not available to them. English language requirements are also not as restrictive as those under the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS). The changes are expected to make it far easier for employers in the metropolitan area to sponsor overseas workers for vacancies that were previously only available to their regional counterparts.
